Fear Is a Way of Learning

The question “Which Adam?” is the beginning of time. One of the biggest problems we all have is fear. There is no trust as long as we don’t have the courage to face the moment. The message of freedom can be heard – if we listen and accept what needs to be changed. Fears are part of the unity as well. So, get off the blame train; nothing is going to change unless we are going to change. You cannot understand God just through feelings.

The Path of Affirmation

You wouldn’t be in an inner school unless you already were prepared even before you were born. You have all the kingdoms within you because God gave us His trust and everything. Do never feed what has been given to you with comparison. God gave the secret of the names to Adam – “to which Adam?”

On Power, Dependence and Prayer

There are three sorts of suffering; necessary pruning, conscious suffering and unnecessary suffering. Unnecessary suffering comes from us not offering the work of transformation back to the one source. The power of remembrance is enormous. How can we know what is really necessary when God is the All Knower? On intercessory prayer and the power of thought. What were you when you were just a thought in the mind of God? The womb of the moment. It is between the in-breath and the out-breath that transformation happens. What is power? It has got to do with humility. If you were not attracted, you would not be here. Love is the movement of beauty.

Breath, Prayer and Noticing

It is almost as if the truth is trying to find us. It is the third force, which makes transformation possible. About the attitude in prayer. The power of script. “God has never created anything useless” (Ibn Arabi). The importance of noticing. When you judge, you humiliate that which or those whom you judge and you veil yourself. The cycle of “S(n)ufism” is over. If knowledge is in the heart, what is thought?

Sounds of Transformation

We are not involved with form; our form is the formless. We are on the path of return. Understanding judgement. The name of God “as-Sami” (the All-Hearing). Conscious birth and conscious death are extraordinary experiences of sound if one can only listen. There is a sound in transformation. “Please” and “thank you” are the same word. It is amazing what you hear when you listen. People who have been exposed to the work have an obligation to give it back to the source in their own individual way.

Attunement to the Higher Self

The meaning of Thursdays in our spiritual tradition. Being attuned to the qualities of the days of the week. The essence and power of our prayer. Where does sound come from? The sound of gratefulness. Forgiveness and gratefulness. History repeating itself. What is the association between will and spirit? Patience is the key to joy.

It Is Light that Makes Colour Visible

The times of spiritual centres are over, and I am going fishing. »When two or three are gathered together« in the name of love, compassion and service… »Agreement« is a stronger word than »God«. Are you prepared? Love is the movement of beauty. Light is not the opposite of darkness. Light unfolds from itself. Light has no ambition. The soul is a knowing substance, and that is light. We are all going to die, but what we are will not die. We are beings of light. We must never be selfish, we need to breathe out. Let light come from your heart. We have to move on.

The Looping of Time

What is time? What were you when you were just a thought in the mind of God? Pure memory needs the transformation of false time. In pure memory you can remember the future as well as the past. It is in the space between the words, where real language lies. Judgement and blame. Loops of time and the womb of the moment. Repeating habit patterns. When we are in an actively receptive state (i.e. patience), possibilities from a higher world can enter. Sacred Geometry.

Compassion, Sentimentality and Consciousness

The world is quite mad and in a mess. The apocalypse and a prophecy of the Hopi people. I don’t believe in doom, I’ll go out telling a joke. Don’t get identified, and allow anybody else their own believe system. Envy is one thing, they say, God can’t forgive. Every thought form whishes to express itself. Never judge another human being before you walked one hundred miles in their moccasins.

We Are Just People of the Way

The time for labels is over. We don’t need unnecessary baggage on our journey. Those who need problems still have labels. We are just people of the way. With us, there is nothing to join and, therefore, nothing to leave. Now it is time to move on. We are not “a Sufi group”. Rangling between dervish orders. You can’t own the Turn. The books I have written have helped many people. Chalice is supporting the dissemination of knowledge through the written word. What has always been called “the Work” in so many inner schools in the West will go on forever, under whatever title or label it may adopt from time to time. “Where soever you stand, that is holy ground.”

The Journey of Life

What is the purpose of the journey of life on earth? If you try to untie your life from the outside, from form and concepts, you will never realize that a bowl of string is actually untied from the inside, which can be expressed through your hands. I was raised by gypsies and that’s why I knew love from the moment I was born. Remember: YOU are the purpose of life. We are just people of the way.

The Tree of Unity Brings the Religion of Love

On 17 December 1273, the great Persian Poet and Sufi Mystic Jalaluddin Rumi reached Union with the Beloved. In his address to the Sema ceremony held in Zurich in 1998 in remembrance of this sacred event, Reshad Feild talks about the “tree of unity”, which grows beyond any form of religion or creed to bear its fruits of love and beauty – the One Cause of all creation.

On  Prayer

When you pray, pray with everything. Don’t just pay lip service. Can you pray for peace without your mind saying “war”? What is the answer to God’s prayer? You are the answer! God loves to hear you voice. “All the worlds praise Him, but we don’t know how.” Every prayer starts with praise. What is the single most important point? Centric space and peripheral space. Don’t believe me! You are individual witnesses of the Divine. Everything is in becoming from being.

On Meditation

How meditation fits into our daily lives. You breathe in only in order to breathe out. The miracle of being breathed. I encourage people to go and find a good meditation teacher. The purpose of meditation. Learn to be adaptable. Meditation is about preparation. “You never know when the son of man cometh.” If we are regular in our practices, we are in a better state of preparation. Meditation is not to increase the concept of self, when the object is to be so close to God that there is no God but God.
